The 3M Perfect-it™ 1-Step Paint Finishing System comes equipped with all you need for an effective finish without the use of compounding. The one step finishing system is the final step in the overall paint refinishing process beginning with defect removal with the use of 3M’s Purple Finishing Film Abrasive Disc, onto scratch refinement with the help of 3000 grade foam abrasive discs and then microscratch refinement with 8000 grade foam abrasive discs (this step replaces the need for compounding), and then ending the job with the Perfect-it™ 1-Step Finishing Material to create a deep glossy finish the first time.
