Perhaps software management programs and computer/cloud-based tools are yet a far cry from robots, but the technology can surely aid in smoothing out a collision centre’s operations. There are many different softwares that claim to aid the repair process in your facilities, from OEM info-sourcing tools to claims platforms with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) integrations. Whatever top-of-mind topic your business faces today, there’s a tool out there—or in development—to fix it.

Take Solera | Audatex’s Qapter platform, for one, which has been updated to integrate AI-based damage detection. The company says Qapter is the first end-to-end claims solution powered by AI, and that the program can “produce a professional vehicle repair estimate with unmatched speed and accuracy.” There’s also a case for OEConnection’s upcoming RepairLogic, which “makes finding OEM repair procedures fast, accurate and easy,” according to the company. At a recent event, RepairLogic developer, Nicky Woerner, told audiences that 97 percent of early users said the program increased their confidence in finding accurate procedures and parts; 92 percent said they were able to source parts in a single source via RepairLogic. These are but two programs said to provide unmatched technological help in your facility. There are countless more—you can even work with providers to discover which features are most beneficial for your team. And, contrary to popular belief, training on these tech-ridden systems does not resemble learning rocket science. In fact, training for some programs is but a mere 30 minutes.

So, if you’re letting that desktop dinosaur of a computer sit on the front desk gathering dust, it’s time to invest in some management software. Let’s stay with the times.
